The budding stars from Woodward Parkway's Theater Club wowed the crowd with their dazzling rendition of Annie! With lines memorized to perfection, dance moves on point, and characters brought to life, these talented students stole the spotlight. Their hard work paid off big time as they basked in the thunderous applause from their adoring fans. Director Mrs. Deanna Cupolo beamed with pride as her students took center stage and received the standing ovation they deserved.

Art teachers across all six Farmingdale School District buildings dedicated months to curating pieces for the annual DistrictWide Art Show. Held in the Farmingdale High School Commons, this art exhibition is a vibrant celebration of creativity and self-expression, highlighting the exceptional talents of students district-wide.

Families can admire various artworks, from paintings and sculptures to digital designs and mixed media creations. This event highlights young minds’ artistic achievements and provides a platform for families to bond over their shared appreciation for the arts.

A round of applause goes out to all the Daler artists featured in the exhibition! A special thank you goes out to Farmingdale’s Fine Arts department for their outstanding efforts in nurturing these budding talents and providing them with a platform to showcase their skills.

On Saturday, May 11, Farmingdale High School students Kelsey DeMaria, William Herbert, Michael Schmitt, and Nicholas Zito, accompanied by band director David Abrams, participated in the New York State Band Director’s Association Day of Band at Hofstra University. Joining over 80 students from various schools on Long Island, the event featured workshops led by Hofstra music department faculty, rehearsals alongside the Hofstra University Symphonic Band, and a concert for family, friends, and university guests. With the guidance of conductor David Soto, William and Michael had the chance to conduct the 160+ member ensemble.

Members of Farmingdale High School’s Interact Club members eagerly volunteered their time and skills to help build a safe and comfortable home for a family in need. From digging trenches and building fences to cutting branches, each student contributed their efforts to make a positive impact in the local community. The collaboration between Farmingdale High School and Habitat for Humanity fostered a sense of unity and compassion among the students. This experience not only taught valuable life skills but also instilled the importance of giving back and helping others in need. The proud smiles on the faces of the Interact Club members were a testament to the power of teamwork and service.

REMARKABLE ROBOTICS

A Remarkable Season for Farmingdale Robotics!  thumbnail258371

Farmingdale Robotics teams excelled at the recent Southern New York State Championships, making it to the state finals and winning a prestigious Design award.

They also secured a spot in the VEX World Championships in Dallas, Texas, competing against over 800 top robots from 40 countries.

The Dalers performed exceptionally well, reaching the top 5% at the championship and the top 1% globally. Farmingdale's Farmingdale is honored with the esteemed Build Award for its exceptional engineering skills.

Despite bidding farewell to over a dozen seniors, Farmingdale's team is gearing up for next season's "High Stakes" game, where robots compete to stack rings and climb a tower
