    Congratulations to Farmingdale High School's Science Bowl Team coached by Pete Macchia. The team placed FIRST at the Brookhaven National Lab competition on Saturday Jan 31. Click on the picture to go to Newsday's article describing their success.


    Farmingdale does it again! The STEP Regional Science Bowl is a jeopardy-style competition where teams compete in a round robin tournament followed by a double elimination section. Coach Pete Macchia, with a new team, consisting of Captain Kevin Bocanegro, Co-Captain Diego Suriel, Roberto Cantos, Mike Hernandez and John Lopes, won the New York State Regional Science Bowl. They will be going to Washington, D.C. to compete in the national competition sponsored by the US Dept. of Energy in May 2010, giving Farmindale High School 2 teams in the national finals!!!


    The Farmingdale High School marching band was one of 45 bands showcased at the 47th annual Newsday Marching Band Festival on Long Island. Farmingdale has participated for more than 20 years. The festival was held at Hofstra University. It raises funds for the schools participating as well as funding a grant program for Hofstra music students.     Tickets for the Spring comedy, "The Nerd", are on presale with Ms. Lindsley. Seating is limited so you want to get your tickets early. $5 for students and $10 for adults.

    The Interact Club once again presents the Change for a Cause homeroom fundraiser competition. This year our cause is the "Hope for Julianna Fund." Starting Monday, March 15th, bring in your pennies to help your homeroom win a bagel breakfast.

    Business Honor Society applications are due by March 26th. Please see any business teacher for an application.

    Stop by the Green and White Shop! T-shirts, hats and sweatshirts will keep you comfy and still show off your Daler Pride.

    Interact Club is collecting old/broken eyeglasses, frames and loose lenses. They will be repaired and donated to the others less fortunate.

    Don't forget Pizza Wednesday.
