Utilizing a Shared Folder
Saving
a file to the your network shared folder.
While working within an application
program or from a file. Move the cursor
to the file menu bar. Choose File on the file menu bar, then
choose “Save As” from the file menu. In the Look in, drive menu box,
choose your network drive. Choose your user shared folder. Double
click to enter your shared folder. In the File Name: box, name your document
and choose “Save”.
For example Choose: File

Select
shared account teacher
File Name Document.doc
Save
Your
document is now saved to your shared folder.
Opening
a file from your network shared folder.
While working within an application
program. Move the cursor to the file
menu bar. Choose File on the file menu bar, then
choose “Open” from the file menu. In the Look in, drive menu box,
choose your network drive. Choose your user shared folder. Double
click to enter your folder. Find the file that you have created and want to
open and double click on that file.

Double Click

Your
document is opened from your shared folder.
The only difference between your home folder and
your shared folder is that only you can access your home folder.
Everyone can access you shared folder. This allows
teachers to distribute information for all students to retrieve, and vice
versa.
