Farmingdale Students Dig into Archeology
Woodward Parkway Elementary School Students Discover Dinosaurs
The Farmingdale School District recently invited local paleontologists to visit Woodward Parkway Elementary School as part of a District initiative to create a hands-on learning environment for students and connect them with industry experts. During the paleontology assembly, more than 100 students learned about the history of dinosaurs and how archeologists make discoveries and draw conclusions about Earth’s ancient past. Students explored a life-size model of a dinosaur skull, then broke off into small groups to “unearth” dinosaur fossils of their own.
