    During the last week of August, Farmingdale School District hosted its 8th annual One-to-World Summer Technology and Learning Institute at Farmingdale High School. All K-12 teachers were invited to participate in the three-day program, which gives both new and veteran educators the opportunity to advance their classroom technology skills and develop innovative practices for the incoming school year.

  • New Chromebooks for Farmingdale School District Students

    Approximately two thousand new Chromebooks are in the process of being distributed to select grades in the Farmingdale School District for the 2018-19 school year. Grades 10-12 were given the opportunity to pick up their computers prior to the start of classes, and all elementary students (grades 3-4) will receive their Chromebooks during the first week of school.

    When Farmingdale School District’s Instructional Coach for Digital Learning, Bonnie McClelland, was introduced to Flipgrid—a video discussion platform for students—she, well… flipped! She immediately saw its potential to grow student engagement and promptly reached out to its creators to develop new ways to use it at the district.
