    On a recent Saturday morning, Farmingdale High School Coach Rich Santa Maria added an environmental twist to his girls’ cross-country training session. During their run—from FHS to Bethpage Park and back—he challenged them to pick up any trash they encountered along the way.

  • Identical Twin Sisters Named Valedictorian and Salutatorian of Farmingdale High School’s Class of 2020

    It’s twins! Farmingdale High School Principal Dr. Samuel Thompson announced today that the valedictorian and salutatorian of the Class of 2020 are identical twin sisters. Gianna Morales achieved the highest cumulative GPA out of 508 students, earning herself the top spot of valedictorian. Rebecca Morales achieved a GPA of 104.529, earning the rank of salutatorian.

  • FHS Freshman Orientation

    Farmingdale High School welcomed the Class of 2023 for freshman orientation this morning. Principal Dr. Samuel Thompson and Assistant Principal's Arlene Martinez and Jed Herman held two sessions in the auditorium, where they gave helpful advice about launching a successful high school career. Upperclassmen volunteered their time to give tours of the building, and there was a club fair set up in the Commons for students to explore and ask questions.

  • Gorilla Conservation Group Praises Farmingdale Students for Local Recycling Campaign

    Last spring, Farmingdale High School French students held a small electronics recycling drive to support gorilla conservation efforts in the Congo. They wound up collecting 170 old cell phones, iPods, iPads, tablets, and MP3 players, which were sent to ECO-CELL, a leading electronics recycler.
