Farmingdale High School Earns First AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award
Farmingdale High School has earned the first College Board AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science A. Out of more than 18,000 secondary schools worldwide that offer AP courses, Farmingdale High School is one of only 685 to accomplish this.
“We’re honored by this recognition,” said FHS Principal Dr. Samuel Thompson. "We are committed to increasing access to rigorous and challenging course work for all of our students, including our female students in AP Computer Science. This will help prepare them for STEM jobs in the future."
