FHS Robotics Team Competes in VEX World Championship
The Farmingdale High School Robotics Team wrapped up its 2018-2019 season of playing the game Turning Point with an impressive showing at the VEX World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky.
The international championship was attended by approximately 600 teams from 30 countries. Playing 11 matches over three days, Farmingdale ended the tournament with a 7-4 record, placing them at about position 200 out of 24,000 teams worldwide!
In addition to competing, many team members took on key volunteer roles in the running of the event—holding positions such as scorekeepers, competition field volunteers, VEX ambassadors, and even a judge.
The students were also excited to be present for the opening of the 2019-2020 VEX season with the reveal of the new game, Tower Takeover. The Farmingdale engineers are already designing!
