Sixty-two FHS Students Inducted into Art Honor Society
Sixty-two Farmingdale High School students were inducted into the Art Honor Society. Students must complete fifteen hours of community service centered around artistic endeavors in order to be invited into the society. Among the many projects they undertook as part of their service this year included: face painting, painting murals, decorating club events, assisting in studios, and prepping and hanging pieces at art shows.
“It is beautiful to watch kids who are passionate about creating, share their talents and hard work with Farmingdale. I love that they get a chance to showcase their amazing abilities and wow the public,” said art teacher Amanda Rummenie. “I get to see how great their work is every day, and it makes me smile to see them get recognition from so many different places!”
