The Board of Education of the Farmingdale School District Seeks a Community Volunteer to Serve on the District’s Audit Committee
Do you have expertise in the field of accounting, law, business, or financial auditing and want to give back to the school community?
The Farmingdale School District maintains several advisory committees to facilitate best practices. The Audit Committee assists the board in providing oversight of the internal and external auditing process—including recommendations for the appointment of the district’s auditors, review of various financial reports, risk assessments, and oversight of the auditors’ recommendations.
The Audit Committee is a six-member panel made up of two board members and four community members with varying financial and auditing backgrounds and expertise. The Farmingdale Board of Education is asking for a volunteer to fill a vacant position on the Audit Committee.
If you are interested in applying for a position on the Audit Committee, please send a cover letter and resume by August 16, 2019 to the District Clerk, 50 Van Cott Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
