The Farmingdale High School Marching Band completed a three-day preseason training session in preparation for the 2026-2027 school year. Band directors, student leaders, and ensemble members gathered to learn foundational marching steps, conduct uniform fittings, and welcome incoming musicians. 

“Preseason builds our foundational skills, but band camp is where the team truly comes together,” said Band Director Matthew DeMasi. “We cannot wait to take the field and share our passion, pride, and music with the entire community this fall.”

The community is invited to cheer on the Marching Band under the Friday night lights during the Farmingdale High School Football homecoming game on October 9. Additionally, the ensemble will perform at the Newsday Marching Band Festival on October 22.
