Welcome to Farmingdale School District. We look forward to your family joining our DALER community!

 

In order to place your child/children in the most appropriate program and comply with New York State law and District Policy, we will need certain information and records.

Before you begin, please gather the following:

  • Household Information - address and phone numbers
  • Parent Information - work and cell phone numbers, email addresses
  • Student Information - demographic and health/medication information
  • Emergency Contact - phone numbers
  • PDF files of various documents showing Proof of Residency, Birth, etc

UPK

To be eligible for Universal Pre-K, your child must be 4 years of age on or before December 1, 2026, and registered in the Farmingdale School District.

Kindergarten

A child may enter kindergarten in September if she or he will be five years old on or before December 1st of the school year. You must register your child into the Farmingdale School District through the Student Registration Office.ﾂOnce a child is registered in our district, you will receive information about our Kindergarten registration which takes place in March.

First Grade

A child who has had a full year of kindergarten in an appropriate school will be admitted to the first grade. Students who are six years old and have not attended kindergarten will be entered initially into kindergarten and advanced according to ability.

Once you have completed the Registration Packet/Forms, please call our main office at the number listed to schedule an appointment.

If you have any questions about acceptable residency proof or are unclear about any of the above required forms, please call our office prior to your registration appointment.
