For 24 years, Howitt Middle School Chorus Teacher Ms. Danielle Tucker has guided district students in honoring local heroes and lives lost. This year's ceremony marked the 25th anniversary of September 11, bringing together members of the Chamber Chorus, students in grades 7 through 12, and district alumni. Their united voices provided a comforting bridge across generations, reaffirming our community's enduring strength.

To commemorate this landmark milestone, Community Summit Council Director Mr. Ken Ulric partnered with Director of Fine and Performing Arts Mr. Greg Warnokowski to incorporate instrumental music into the ceremony. Farmingdale High School Wind Ensemble Director Mr. Matthew DeMasi enthusiastically answered the call, directing select members of the Wind Ensemble alongside faculty members Mr. David Abrams and Ms. Elena Scarano.

The ceremony reached a powerful crescendo as the Chorus and the Band joined forces to perform "God Bless America." Audience members stood shoulder to shoulder, adding their voices to the chorus in a profound display of unity. The tribute honored all who were lost on September 11, 2001, those who succumbed to related illnesses, and the brave first responders who served.

Our district remains deeply committed to teaching future generations the value of remembrance, service, and community unity.
