Farmingdale’s four elementary schools—Albany Avenue, Northside, Saltzman East Memorial, and Woodward Parkway—all held moving up ceremonies for their fifth-grade class during the last week of the 2017-2018 school year.
It was a big week for the fifth-grade students at Farmingdale’s four elementary schools. Albany Avenue, Northside, Saltzman East Memorial, and Woodward Parkway all hosted their annual 5th grade award ceremonies to acknowledge students who excelled in academics, sports, music, art, and community service during the 2017-2018 school year.
Over 400 Farmingdale High School seniors—dressed in their green and white graduation gowns—returned to their elementary schools for the Districts’ second annual Senior Walk. The nostalgic procession took place at all four Farmingdale elementary schools— Albany Avenue, Northside, Saltzman East Memorial, and Woodward Parkway.
The third-grade at Saltzman East Memorial Elementary School welcomed four Daler Ducks into the world this spring! Beast, Lucky, Crackers, and Fluffy.
Just before the unofficial start of summer, students at Saltzman East Memorial Elementary School gathered in the gym for an assembly on water safety. They were especially delighted to meet Bubbles, the guppy-eyed mascot from Goldfish Swim School in Farmingdale.
Fourth-grade students at Saltzman East Memorial Elementary School helped the second-grade classes with their owl pellet exploration lab. Together they sorted the bones into separate groups using a bone chart, drew illustrations, and described the physical attributes of the owl pellets.
Students at Saltzman East Memorial Elementary School kicked off the last week before winter recess at an interactive assembly called The Brain Show.
