    • The East Cafeteria Social Time after school will no longer be held.  Students wishing to purchase an afternoon snack may still do so, but must catch the buses after buying their snack.  As a reminder, the library is open after school for tutoring and the Maker Space and room 603 are open for quietly completing homework.


    • Yearbooks may be ordered for $55 by going to the link under the Howitt website ANNOUNCEMENT tab.


    • There will be a post-show pizza party for the Howitt's Got Talent Cabaret Night cast, crew and tech on Monday after school in the West Cafeteria until 3:25.


    • Tonight is Howitt Middle School PTA’s first Karaoke night. It will be held in the auditorium and begins at 6:00 pm. Admission is free for PTA members and $5.00 per family for non-PTA members. Please RSVP using the link that can be found in the ANNOUNCEMENT tab. http://bit.ly/2QhzUdt


    • Students who were unable to attend the Little Shop of Horrors informational meeting and would like to audition should see Ms. Klock in room 311.


    • There will be 7th grade Girls’ Volleyball tryouts w/Ms. Rabin on Monday after school in the East Gym.


    • Conroy’s Writing Lab is CLOSED for today.

  • Farmingdale vs. Oceanside!

    Farmingdale High School Varsity Football will play Oceanside in the Conference I Semifinal on Thursday, November 14th at 7:30 P.M. at Hofstra University.

  • Celebrating Day of the Dead at Weldon E. Howitt Middle School

    At the end of October, 8th grade students in Ms. Caracappa’s Spanish class celebrated the Day of the Dead—a Mexican holiday set aside to honor loved ones who have passed away. Students learned about traditional foods and wrote poetry in honor of family members, famous Hispanics, and pets who have passed on.

    The inclement weather on Halloween did nothing to deter students from having a franken-tastic time at the traditional Senior Halloween Parade from Farmingdale High School to Woodward Parkway Elementary School. As always, the costumes were funny, creative, and boo-tiful.

  • Districtwide Pink Out Day!

    Last Friday was districtwide Pink Out Day! Six years ago, student Mia Smith started a campaign called "Make 'Cents' out of Breast Cancer" to raise money for cancer research and awareness. This year, her sister Ella (a fifth grader at Northside) stepped in to support fundraising efforts at the elementary schools.
