Farmingdale High School freshman Mia Smith welcomed former Islander hockey player Steve Webb to the high school last Wednesday to sign a team jersey and hockey puck and present them to the winners of her Make “Cents” out of Breast Cancer raffle fundraise
It's a tie! The second annual Central Administration Stuffing Competition has two winners this year. Congratulations go to defending champion Diane Pedicini and newcomer Liz Isleman for successfully stuffing the bellies of the administrative staff at lunchtime today.
The Nassau Region PTA Principals and Presidents Dinner was held this past Tuesday at the Crest Hollow County Club. All the Farmingdale School District PTA presidents attended, along with members of the administration and board of education.

The inclement weather on Halloween did nothing to deter students from having a franken-tastic time at the traditional Senior Halloween Parade from Farmingdale High School to Woodward Parkway Elementary School. As always, the costumes were funny, creative, and boo-tiful.
Last Friday was districtwide Pink Out Day! Six years ago, student Mia Smith started a campaign called "Make 'Cents' out of Breast Cancer" to raise money for cancer research and awareness. This year, her sister Ella (a fifth grader at Northside) stepped in to support fundraising efforts at the elementary schools.
